Little Liles #2 is a......

BOY!

And more importantly, little boy Liles does not appear to have ANY kidney or bladder problems at all! Of course, they will follow this closely during the rest of my pregnancy, but everything looks good! Thank you Lord! What a relief!

As the appointment approached, we were very nervous, since this was the appointment last time that revealed to us that Avery had kidney problems. We have prayed and prayed for good news. And we got it. As they told us that we were having a boy, we both started laughing, how funny, a boy... we are in a princess-centered world full of hair bows and baby dolls. Now to imagine footballs and race cars!

Then time was spent in depth searching his kidneys for any problems. You have to know, that we were told that we had a 50/50 chance of this child having to go through everything Avery did. When no problems were found, overwhelming tears streamed down my face. We both felt a big sigh of relief. What a miracle.

Again, they will continue to watch to make sure that there are no hidden problems, but we rejoice in this news! We shared the news with family yesterday and showed the Ultra Sound video. Avery made sure to point out over and over that "he has a bottom. And a head. And a bottom. And an arm. And a bottom...and a bottom" Excellent..and captured on film.

And as my sweet little Avery says to me "there's a baby in Mommy's tummy. I want to touch it", my heart melts. How amazing.
